TGI Fridays in Moscow is a decent way to get a fix of US/Western food or have a few cocktails or beers on a budget. Unlike other international chain restaurants in Moscow, such as Hard Rock Cafe, or the Beverley Hills Diner, TGI Fridays manages to strike the right balance between price quality and service that will leave you satisfied.
The restaurant currently has 13 locations across Moscow and they do deliver. Each of the locations I have personally visited have a unique layout and feel, which is interesting given that at the end of the day it is still a chain restaurant. One TGI Fridays in Moscow that I find interesting is the one by Metro Universitet. The bar at this location is quite large and well stocked and it is a decent place for a few drinks, as I personally enjoy the music played.
The food on offer is your typical North american fare – mostly burgers and Tex-Mex. For me, the burgers are the best value item and the main reason I visit the restaurant. Sometimes you just need a big greasy burger and want something a step above McDonald’s! Dining for two at TGI Fridays Moscow will set you back around 2-2500RUB, depending on what you choose to drink. Most of the beers on offer are local brews though.
Although the official website for TGI Fridays in Russia is not in English, all of the menus in the restaurants are in both English and Russian. In my experience, the servers have also had a good level of English, so even if you don’t know any Russian, you will have no problems filling your belly.
